Robert's
Tall Friend
A
Story of the Fire Island Lighthouse
|
|
Every boy wants a tree house or fort, and Robert does,
too. But Robert's fort is quite different -- she's a 168-foot lighthouse, built in 1858.

fort is also different in another way: she talks
to Robert, pleading for help in restoring her to her former glory as a nautical beacon for Atlantic shipping.
