Robert's Tall Friend
A Story of the Fire Island Lighthouse

Every boy wants a tree house or fort, and Robert does, too.  But Robert's fort is quite different -- she's a 168-foot lighthouse, built in 1858.
Robert's fort is also different in another way:  she talks to Robert, pleading for help in restoring her to her former glory as a nautical beacon for Atlantic shipping.
Since her popular book's debut 18 years ago, author

Vivian Farrell has performed this story for hundreds of children in communities throughout the region.
It's a one-woman,
staged, 45-minute
